CAC Teachers' Bios


Regina Lee Albaugh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art with a distinction in painting from the University of North Carolina, Asheville.

Julia Ball has an MA in Teaching, and has worked in a variety of media and styles, her favorite being cartooning. Julia’s art has appeared in the Baltimore City Paper, as well as on the cover of several editions of The Patchwork Players.

Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM) is Maryland’s premiere professional ballet company. BTM maintains a professional faculty of thirteen teachers in BTM’s School of Classical and Contemporary Dance.

Bay Theatre Studio is the educational wing of the professional Bay Theatre Company, located in Annapolis. The company offers a wide variety of theatre classes suited to all ages and levels, from introductory to advanced.

Jackie Churches teaches Yoga and Pilates classes throughout Anne Arundel County.

Narriman Elkins has been making jewelry, artistic and functional fused glass for many years. Her glass has been featured on HGTV - “That’s Clever” and local Fine American Craft Galleries. She has demonstrated and taught jewelry making for over a decade.

Rosemary Flood has a BS in Business Administration and Fine Art from Towson University and her Master’s in Business from Johns Hopkins University. She is a studio potter at Chesapeake Arts Center and is the founder of Paxis Place Pottery.

Alicia de la Garza has studied piano for over 15 years, and has been a musical director for Merely Players Productions and Baltimore Children’s Theatre.

Michael Gellert has sung in over 180 performances in more than 45 productions as a chorister with the Baltimore Opera Company, and has been the director of the Harbor City Music Company Show Chorus for 17 years.

Christalene Karaiskakis is the Founder and Creative Director of Crystalooneys Creative Arts, a company that hosts themed art parties and other art events.

Rick LaRocca is an accomplished singer/guitarist/songwriter with over thirty years teaching and performing experience.

Spoon Popkin is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art who has been making Pop-ups for over a decade. She currently teaches kids through the Creative Alliance and School 33.

Jane Rubini is a mosaic artist and graphic designer. She attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC where she lived and worked for many years. Currently Jane teaches several classes in and around Baltimore.

Nate Stottlemyer is an accomplished performer and specialist of world percussion instruments. He is the Director of Bands, Music Department Chairperson at Brooklyn Park Middle School, as well as a contributing writer and composer for AACPS.

Diane Tuckman is the co-founded of Silk Painters International, a non-profit organization to promote this art form. Tuckamn currently serves as the SPIN Executive Director and teachs silk painting throught the region.

Joe Vitek has been a potter for almost 40 years and has been an artist-in-residence at CAC since 2001.

Voice Coaches provides industry leading voice evaluation, training, and demo development. The production and training team is comprised of experts in acting, communication, broadcasting, and speech language pathology.
