  - Gift shop receptionist (answering phones, administrative projects, etc.)

Current availability : Mondays 3 - 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays 12 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Wednesdays 2 - 5:30 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Volunteer Orientation / Recruitment Session May 13 @ 2pm

Calling all retirees, college students, and all around art lovers! Chesapeake Arts Center will be hosting its first new volunteer recruitment and orientation meeting at 2pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in the Studio 194 Theatre. Hosted by Volunteer Coordinator Josh Feist, newcomers will learn all about the Chesapeake Arts Center, take the grand tour of the entire facility, enjoy light refreshments, and discover the many volunteer opportunities available. There is no charge for the event and persons of all experience levels and ages welcome. No registration necessary though calls of intention to attend are appreciated.

Participants will receive the CAC volunteer manual and Mr. Feist will conduct his presentation focusing on volunteer positions such as ushering for theatre and concert events, gift shop reception, box office, mailings, and more. Following the session, Chesapeake Arts Center will contact individuals by phone or email to coordinate subsequent training times for the volunteer activity of indicated interest.

Volunteering at the Chesapeake Arts Center has numerous benefits. Volunteers enjoy free admission to the shows for which they work, social/business networking opportunities, a sense of community involvement and annual appreciation parties.
