  • IN PERSON: Register in person during our regular office hours.
  • ONLINE: Click "View All Classes" to browse available courses, and register directly through our website!

Tuition Assistance Program

Chesapeake Arts Center is committed to making exceptional arts education opportunities accessible and affordable for our citizens. Thanks to support from Anne Arundel Community Development Services, 25-75% of tuition assistance is available for qualifying Anne Arundel County applicants.

To apply for the tuition assistance program, please download the following application form, and submit a completed copy to the CAC office along with proof of income. CAC's education director will contact you once the documentation has been reviewed.

General Information

If a class or workshop is canceled, students will be notified at least 3 business days prior to the first scheduled class or workshop. If you do not hear from CAC, your class will be running as scheduled. CAC reserves the right to make changes in programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel classes due to low enrollment. CAC reserves the right to cancel or refuse the registration of a student in a class or workshop with no refund, if participation by the student is deemed disruptive or interferes with the learning atmosphere and enjoyment of the class/workshop.

Class Refund Policy

A $10 non-refundable processing fee is included in each class tuition.100% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested at least 1 week prior to the class/workshop; 75% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the first class; 50% of tuition (less the processing fee) will be refunded if requested after the second class; no refunds will be made if requested after the third class. This does not apply to one-time workshops.  

Holiday and Inclement Weather Policy

No classes January 1 (New Years Day), January 16 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), May 29 (Memorial Day),  July 4 (Independence Day), Sept 4 (Labor Day), November 23-26 (Thanksgiving Weekend), and December 25 - 31 (Holiday Break).

Chesapeake Arts Center classes follow the Anne Arundel County Public Schools emergency closings protocols. For the safety of our students and parents, classes are cancelled when AACPS closes due to inclement weather.  For the most current information about closings go to the AACPS website www.aacps.org (where the latest news will be posted at the top of the screen) or call the snow phone at 410-222-5110 or 1-800-893-7080. When possible, CAC will post info regarding cancellations on the CAC website.
