Arts Education Outreach Programs

Education is a central component of CAC’s mission as we strive to make a positive impact on our community in a creative way. Our outreach programs allow families with limited resources to enroll in arts education classes, workshops, and after-school programs. These programs provide a safe, positive learning environment for children to express them- selves, build positive self-esteem, and learn new skills.

"Chesapeake after school programs are valuable outlets for our children...the nurturing environment quickly warmed hearts and gave my child and I a chance to embrace diversity, the arts and life in general.” ~ After school Parent

In 2016-2017, CAC was able to reach nearly three hundred students through free and low-cost arts programs. As we enter the 2017-2018 school year, CAC will continue to offer tuition assistance for up to 75% off class rates for Anne Arundel County residents and free after-school arts and STEAM workshops for students in the Brooklyn Park area. These programs are generously funded through support from Arundel Community Development Services, The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, and private donations.
