Art Activities:

Community Mural: Fellow festival-goers were able to help create a community mural. Our 'Arts in the Park' Community Mural was led by local muralist, Tammy Barnes, and was geared towards people of all ages. Materials were provided and no painting/artistic experience was required to participate!  All mural contributors had the opportunity to memorialize their participation with their signature on a plaque that will accompany the mural in its final exhibit space at CAC. Follow Tammy on Instagram @tbarnescreates. (www.tbarnescreates.com)

Coiled Clay Bowls: Festival-goers were able to learn the traditional art of coil pottery and created their own bowl.

Mod-Podge Pumpkins: A twist on pumpkin decorating — perfect for getting into the fall spirit!

Sugar Skull Magnets: Sugar Skull Magnets were designed in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Battlebots Obstacle Course: Our robots battled it out through a fun obstacle course.

Diffusing Color Leaves: Magical one-of-a-kind works of art were created using special color diffusing paper, pastels, and watercolor.

Other Highlights:

CAC Membership Sale: Special $20 CAC membership sale was featured at the festival. Patrons could save $15 - $30 on the regular price of an individual or family membership if they purchased a membership that day — and receive benefits all year long.

Free Flu Shots: University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center offered flu vaccinations for ages 3 and up and hospital resources and education!

Door Prizes and Giveaways: Chesapeake Art Center’s booth featured a chance to register for door prizes and giveaways.
