Thank you for your interest in renting at the Chesapeake Arts Center!

With a proscenium theatre, black box theatre, two galleries, and plenty of parking on site, CAC is the perfect place to host your next event, seminar, recital, company meeting, and more! 

Located in Northern Anne Arundel County within the I-695 beltway, we are easily accessible from Baltimore, Annapolis, I-95, and BWI. With a unique setting, technical support on site, and even optional craft activities for your attendees, CAC is THE place for your events!

OUR THEATRES

HAMMONDS LANE THEATRE

Anchoring the front of Chesapeake Arts Center is Hammonds Lane Theatre; a professional non-union “road house” with the ability to host graduations, concerts, theatre or dance performances, and lectures. Our facility features multiple-aisle arrangement seating (752 seats, handicapped accessible), professional lighting, sound, and video systems, and 250-400 person capacity rehearsal hall.

STUDIO 194 THEATRE

Located at the rear of our facility is Studio 194; a small intimate space with the ability to host smaller productions, concerts, meetings, lectures, and rehearsals. Our facility features a thrust stage with three-quarter round seating arrangement (120 seats, handicapped accessible), professional lighting, sound, and video systems as well as 2 dressing rooms and a green room.


FAQs

Are the theatre seats numbered? In Hammonds Lane Theatre, yes. In Studio 194, no.

Can we bring outside equipment? Yes, but it must be approved by the Venue Director at least two weeks prior to your event.

Can we sell alcohol/concessions? No food is allowed in the theatres, but concessions may be sold in the lobbies, or other spaces. Prepared food will require a licensed caterer. All alcohol purchasing and distribution must be handled by CAC.

Is there WiFi? Wifi available upon request.

Can I get into the space before my scheduled time? Unfortunately, we cannot provide that because crew is scheduled in advance with a 4 hour minimum shift.

Do you have projection? What should I bring my A/V material on? Yes. CAC requires that all A/V material be provided on a USB thumb drive in MP3 or MP4 format. No CDs, MP3 Players, computers or cellphones.
