About the artist
My Name is Ricky I’m 27 years old, I go by the stage name of RC for my art online, I have always loved creating and designing, I started to fall in love with art at an early age and really invested my self in the genre of pop art, from Warhol’s to Haring’s and anything with a vibrant pop culture spin I wanted to read about it or use that inspiration to created something of my own. Later on through my profession I began to develop more intricated pieces that fell into the genre of surrealism, I drew inspiration from Dali, and my current favorite Banksy, I loved bending ideas and symbols into characters and story lines with deeper meanings of love, loss, or triumph.
My main goal throughout my creative process was to bring people together through a common ground or relatable feeling, weather it was a character I created they found themselves in, or a storyline they can relate to among a multipaneled series. Using an array of mediums from pencil to charcoal as a bridge to get me to a graphic design platform I’ve been able to achieve that goal for so many people over the years, and seeing their faces light up when I say “ this piece is for you” or “I had you in mind when I finished this” is probably my ultimate accomplishment as an artist or creator because you can relive it over and over again.
