A Note from our Executive Director: We need your help to keep the CAC healthy & clean!

Dear CAC Families & Patrons,

Our staff is working proactively to address concerns regarding the spread of influenza and COVID-19 (coronavirus) throughout the Chesapeake Arts Center. Following the guidance of the CDC, we have increased our cleaning routines in our facility, including frequent wiping of door handles, sink knobs, and stair rails. We are monitoring and working with Anne Arundel County Public Schools (the owner of our building) on policies and procedures to ensure the continued health and wellness of our students, patrons, and staff.

Most importantly, however, we need your help. Health officials have determined that hand-washing with soap and water is the best way to prevent the spread of illness. Please continue to wash your hands regularly and encourage your children to do the same. We encourage you to provide your children with hand sanitizers to carry with them when possible; CAC has hand sanitizers available for use well. If you or your child is sick, please stay home. If your child comes to CAC class with respiratory symptoms or fever, the instructor will remove him or her from class and notify you that the child must stay home until they are symptom-free.

At this time, classes and other gatherings will meet as scheduled. We will continue to monitor this situation and will notify patrons of any changes to classes, performances, events, or meetings through email, the CAC website, and social media.

As always, thank you for your support of the Chesapeake Arts Center.
