Join us for an engaging Q&A with photographer Paul W. Gillespie, moderated by artist Nic Berg, as they discuss Gillespie’s career, creative process, and decades of documenting the people and stories that shape our communities.
For more than 20 years, Gillespie has captured the people, places, and moments that make up everyday life—from photojournalism and street portraits to community celebrations, music, and quiet, unscripted encounters. His photographs remind us that every face, place, and passing moment has a story worth telling.
The exhibition features selected images from Gillespie’s Journalists Matter: Faces of the Capital Gazette project, along with new work from his extensive street photography, portraiture, music, and photojournalism archives.
The exhibition is on view September 10–November 8, 2026, in the Patricia Barland Gallery. The Artist Q&A is free and open to the public.
