Lauren Lowell, Theatre
Lauren Lowell is excited to be working with the Chesapeake Arts Center as an instructor in their Theatre Education Program. Lauren is a director, choreographer, singer, dancer, and actress with 25+ years teaching experience. Her true passion is working in youth theatre. She has helped to build several successful children’s theatre programs in Maryland. Currently, she directs and choreographs for STAR, Ltd. in Catonsville and Anne Arundel County Rec and Park’s Musical Theatre classes. She also dedicates part of her time to several schools in Howard and Baltimore County as a guest artist for their drama clubs. Lauren has appeared in area theatre productions of Legally Blonde, Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, Heathers, Sweeney Todd, and many others over the years. When not on stage or back stage, you can find Lauren spending time with her husband, daughter, and cats, driving up to NYC to catch the latest shows, or seeing concerts with friends.
