Yoshi Fujii, Ceramics
Yoshi Fujii is a ceramic artist and instructor based in Baltimore, Maryland. From Fukuoka, Japan, he moved to U.S. in 1996 and received a B.F.A. from University of Southern Mississippi in 2002. Yoshi was invited to Baltimore Clayworks as 2008-09 Lormina Salter Fellow after receiving his M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2008, and he teaches regional universities and art centers including Chesapeake Arts Center, Anne Arundel Community College, and Hood College, and leads workshops internationally. His delicately carved functional art work have been published and shown in national and international exhibitions and competitions, won several awards, and added to collections.
