Today, we’re going In the Studio with concert photographer and musician Domenic Cicala. He wears more than a few hats. One of his great loves is photography. He started as a collector and lover of the medium back in the analog days of film. That love of film still influences his work. He lives mostly in the photography world, shooting people. His main areas of work these days are Music and Beauty portraits, though you will find an occasional still life or landscape. He prefers to capture those moments in between, unstaged, no pretense, truth.

As a child Kimmary would spend hours perfecting her drawings, as a teenager she would hide in my room painting, and as an adult her version of a vacation is sketching or painting in a new place.

Today, she can be found painting, drawing, photographing, or working digitally on the computer, as well as, teaching ballet at the National Ballet Institute for the Arts or leading art programs at The Creative and Performing Arts of South County, which she founded in January 2014.

From the beginning the role of figures was central, ranging from cartoon-­‐like, graphic images to more gestural forms. It is the pictorial space between the figures and forms that has continually evolved in Halton’s prints, drawings, and paintings.

She was recently awarded the A.I.R. Vallauris in France, and a solo exhibition at Stevenson University.

Mia has also been an incredible ceramics instructor at the Chesapeake Arts Center for the last 4 years, so we wanted to make sure that we highlighted Mia in our blog.

Gloria Garrett is the Mother of Makeup Art from Baltimore, Maryland. Famous for painting pictures with make-up. Gloria is also a poet, performer, entertainer and storyteller. She performs historical, musical, holiday and recycled art programs throughout Maryland.

Gloria also works with community members and partners to facilitate art for healing from trauma. She’s very passionate about using her art to help uplift people and bring joy to their lives.

Sanyee Barjogar Jr. is an author, photographer, and filmmaker. When he’s not creating art, he works at Old Mill High School as a TSA. He assists teachers and helping special education students with their school work to further advance them in school.

Sanyee successfully published his first official novel ‘Whispering Dusk’ on October 22, 2020. He’s been working hard to get the recognition it needs for him to be able to excel and achieve his lifelong goal in being an author/filmmaker.
